Verão Azul, organised by the Museum of Horta, takes place every fortnight, inviting residents and visitors to take walks through the cultural heritage of the city, in the late afternoon or even into the night, symbolically converting the city into a museum.

On Thursday 16th September, the theme presented by Carlos Lobão – the guide for this edition, will be “The Parish of Flamengos – A river where everything began”.

Carlos Lobão, a native of the parish of Flamengos, PhD in Contemporary History is currently a history teacher at Escola Secundária Manuel de Arriaga.

The gathering will take place at 5.30 p.m., near Bicas in Flamengos, and from there on there will be an hour-long guided tour.
