The Câmara Municipal da Horta has decided to cancel all the festivities planned for New Year’s Eve, including the fireworks show and the scheduled musical concerts, due to the evolution of the epidemiological situation and the recent measures defined by the Regional Government to contain the growth of the pandemic.
The cancellation decision covers all further events with crowds of people organized by the municipality, under the program “Faial Ilha Natal”.
There will be for sure a number of bigger and smaller events in Horta on New Year’s Eve. But there will be also a big one, the festivities in Horta Marina. Concerts, fireworks, dancing and celebrating the new year. Cross the fingers that the weather will be fine and that COVID does not mess up things once more.
