Right now we have pouring rain in Faial, but for the week-end it should get better. Not that there would be no indoor activities, but this is the week-end of the biggest sports event in Faial. The Ultra Blue Island trail race by Azores Trail Run with five races and 800 participants from 40 countries takes off on Friday night. Besides, the musical Capelinhos is back in the theater and the dogs of the animal shelter will have their walking day with a big party. There are plenty of parties, the first Holy Spirit celebration of the year. This is something you should not miss, it is not only about the religious part, it is about culture and party. There is a live DJ set, Karaoke, a Spanish culinary experience with music, and a concert at the dogs’ party. Last but not least a children’s book presentation and exhibitions.
