Are you ready for the trails? The Ultra Blue Island Azores Trail Run is on our doors. The biggest sports event of Faial attracts once more more than 600 competitors from all around the world. Five distances, the 118k Whalers Great Route, the 65k Ultra Blue Island, the 42k Coast to Coast, the 25k Ten Volcanoes and the 10k Family Trail are open for competition.
Cheer the Participants
If you are not racing, then go out and cheer the participants. It is always a great motivation when you are exhausted, turn around the corner and people are cheering on the way. Where to cheer? The runners not only run up on the Caldeira, there are numerous passages through the villages. Or why not go to one of the refreshment points or the finish line in Capelinhos. Be a Volunteer

10 am to 8 pm. – Race Bib Collection at Teatro Faialense
9:00 pm – Bus departs from António José D’Ávila School (Horta) to WGR118 start line
10:00 p.m. – Start of the Whalers Great Route® (WGR118) – Location: Porto do Salão
May 6th (Saturday)
05.30 a.m. – Start of the Ultra Blue Island at Porto Pim Gate
7:30 a.m – Bus departs from António José D’Ávila School (Horta) to MFCC start line
08.30 a.m. – Start of the Marathon Faial Coast to Coast (MFCC) in front of Ribeirinha Parish Council
10 a.m – Bus departs from António José D’Ávila School (Horta) to TTV start line
11.00 a.m. – Start of the Trail Ten Volcanoes at Cabouco Park
1 p.m. Bus departs from António José D’Ávila School (Horta)to MFT start line
3 p.m. – Start of the Family Race at Parque do Capelo
May 7th (Sunday)
11h – Awards Ceremony at the Municipal Market of Horta
