November 19th marks 12 years since Casa Manuel de Arriaga opened to the public. Music has been a regular presence in this space since it opened, so it was one of the arts chosen to mark the 12th anniversary of this branch of the Horta Museum.
The Casa Manuel de Arriaga will host the International Trio, made up of David Duarte on the violin, Natália Bauer on the cello and Marcello Guarini on the piano, who will present the audience with music by 19th century composers. This evening you can hear pieces by composers A. Dvořák, P. Tchaikovski, J. Brahms and I. Albéniz, among others
In the 12 years, this museum space, which portrays the life of Manuel de Arriaga, his own ideals and those of the Republic, has become a reference space in the city of Horta. Since the beginning, many initiatives have been developed in the various spaces of Casa Manuel de Arriaga. In addition to the regular educational service activities, concerts have been held for all audiences and ages, including the youngest – babies. We held temporary exhibitions with local, national and foreign artists, conferences, fairs and moments of experience and knowledge. From the outset, this House has been open to the community and, whenever possible, to the challenges launched by cultural agents, public bodies and private entities. Celebrate the 12 years of the Casa Manuel de Arriaga with a concert, the entrance is free.
