What’s up this week-end in Faial

Now just the snow is missing in Faial :-). Christmas is all around the island, discover all Christmas events and more in the events calendar. Just to highlight some of them. There is a great concert in the Teatro Faialense, markets in Castelo Branco and Angústias, the ice rink, the market in the old fire station, the Christmas village in the city, you can buy presents in the Mercado Municipal and the Casa Manuel de Arriaga. If you need a time out from your Christmas preparation, then there are photo exhibitions in the library, the museum and the gallery Camarupa. If that is not enough, enjoy some movies without border in the library. Or cheer for Argentina or France at public viewing of the World Cup. Explore all the events of Faial, the island of culture and nature.

Please note that our Facebook account is currently suspended for posting a video of the crowds cheering the Portuguese victory over Switzerland in the Mercado Municipal. It seems that the screen with the cheering players was too much. Hopefully we’ll get out of the quarantine soon.
