If you want to eat out in Faial, obviously the best place is Horta with a number of restaurants offering different types of food. Around the island there are a couple of places where you can have lunch or dinner. Please make sure to check opening hours beforehand, as some of the restaurants are not open on all days of the week. Normally you can have lunch from noon until 14.30 and dinner from 18.00 until 22.30, please check. The only place in Horta where you are served meals all through the afternoon is Peter Café Sport in Horta. For some of the fancier places it is recommended to make a reservation beforehand, in particular on weekends. There are also some places offering meals for take-away.
