Síntese, the contemporary music ensemble from Portugal, weaves a captivating tapestry of sound. With roots deeply embedded in Portuguese musical heritage, they transcend boundaries, embracing modernity and experimentation. Sínteses’s repertoire spans epochs, from classical to avant-garde.
Their performances resonate with intricate harmonies, unconventional timbres, and thought-provoking narratives. The ensemble collaborates with composers, visual artists, and choreographers, pushing artistic boundaries. Their interdisciplinary approach breathes life into compositions, evoking emotions and sparking dialogue.
Síntese celebrates Portugal’s rich cultural mosaic. Their music reflects saudade, fado, and the Atlantic breeze. Each note echoes the soul of Lisbon’s cobbled streets and Porto’s melancholic alleys. Innovation Meets Tradition, Síntese is more than an ensemble; it’s a sonic journey. Their melodies evoke saudades, awaken memories, and invite listeners to explore the uncharted realms of contemporary Portuguese music.
Síntese plays contemporary music in Teatro Faialense, before the concert there will also be held a workshop in cooperation with the Regional Conservatory of Horta. Tickets for the concert are available in the Municipal Market and at the box office.
